Ranked in 91st place (up from 92nd in the last rankings), Trinity is among the top 18 percent of universities across the world.

First in Ireland for employer reputation and alumni outcomes, Trinity is among the top 50 in the world for graduate employment rate.

The QS World University Rankings for Graduate Employability use key metrics – employer reputation, alumni outcomes, partnerships with employers, employer-student connections, and graduate employment rate.

Five hundred and fifty institutions worldwide were ranked and insight was sought from 75,000 employers nationally and internationally.

Orla Bannon, Director of Careers at Trinity, said:

“These rankings, the first since the pandemic began impacting on graduate employment, are a clear endorsement of the value of a Trinity education from an employer’s perspective. Trinity graduates continue to be highly employable and successful in their chosen careers.

“Our mission as a University is to prepare our students for success in their lives, personally and professionally, and we are delighted to see that our efforts and those of our students and graduates are recognised at what is a uniquely challenging time for graduate employment.”

Prof Orla Shiels, Vice-Provost at Trinity College Dublin, said:

“This ranking endorses Trinity’s strategic aspiration to make a difference in a world where connectivity is the new growth.  Trinity grows by becoming ever more connected in an interdependent world. We work hard to ensure our students develop the necessary skills and graduate attributes to succeed in both their studies and in their careers. I am delighted that this hard work and commitment is recognised in today’s ranking.”

Ben Sowter, Director of Research at QS, said:

“By outperforming its position in the overall QS World University Rankings, the latest edition of our deep-dive into graduate employability indicates that this is one area of its mission at which Trinity College Dublin excels.

“It achieves better feedback from the 75,000 employers we surveyed than any other Irish university – informing its nation-leading score in our Employer Reputation indicator.

“It also nurtures higher numbers of highly successful alumni than any of its compatriot peers.

“Its graduate employment rate, even adjusted for locational averages, is among the top 50 in the world.

“All of which serves to underline the exceptional work done by all at TCD to prepare students for a challenging, constantly-reconfiguring world of work.”
