Éigse na Tríonóide, Trinity College Dublin’s annual Irish language festival, and Seachtain na Gaeilge, will take place online from 1st-5th March 2021.

The main events will include:

  • Special guest speakers at the Éigse launch;
  • An informative talk on the history of the Irish language in Trinity from two graduates of the university;
  • A night of music, singing, and poetry with Cúirt Éigse;
  • A Gàidhlig singing workshop, a dramatical and musical performance of Casadh an tSúgáin.

The guest speakers at the launch of the festival on Monday 1st March at 7.00 pm are:

An Dr Eoin Mac Cárthaigh: Head of Department, Department of Irish and Celtic Studies in Trinity
Kitty Ní Houlihán: Drag queen and LGBTQ+ rights activist.
