The Pine Forest Art Centre was founded in 1973 by Mary Carroll, an artist and teacher.
[dropcap]S[/dropcap]ince then, thousands of children and young people have attended summer courses in this beautiful mountain setting and displayed their work to proud parents and friends at exhibition afternoons which take place at the end of each camp.
A 100% Irish owned business, the Centre provides a host of activities that are truly both recreational and educational:
The Pine Forest Art Centre also publishes books on Art-Craft activities for children which can be purchased at the Centre or at any good book shop.
Enrol your child now on an Art-Craft course this summer:
Junior Courses (5-12 years)
Children participate in a wide variety of Art-Craft activities including pottery, painting, drawing, modelling, woodwork, enamelling, rush work and bead work. Activities are tailored to suit the age, ability and interests of the student.
Senior Courses (13-16 years)
Activities for this age group are more focused and include drawing, oil and water colour painting, design, sculpture, pottery, enamelling and other crafts.
Portfolio Preparation Courses in August (16-19 years)
This course is structured to help students in developing a comprehensive portfolio. Each student has a personal work space in which to explore painting, ceramics, metal, silk painting, printing, textiles, design and life drawing, according to individual requirements.
